Right Hemisphere is what you do

I don’t know what you would do, but I, along with two friends, decided to organise our own HOME exhibition.

We are called RIGHT HEMISPHERE. Three artists working in different disciplines, Tina Robertson, Annabel Barry and me!

Not satisfied with it being an exhibition of our work alone, we have invited 10 fellow artists to join us. They are also from multiple disciplines; painters, photographers, printmakers, ceramicists, mosaicists, wood turners, sculptors and illustrators.

The 10 artists we have invited to be part of our inaugural exhibition: Alison Bournes, Rebecca Coleman, Natasha Davis, Julia Hart, Theo Hennessy, Bronwyn Oldham, Vadims Pjatrikovs, Mike Slade, Nicola Upton & Gill Whitehead. These are their instagram links.

Exhibition dates agreed….. 30th May – 1st June. We have lots of interesting and free activities planned for over the weekend. Go to our website for more information.

Our CHARITY RAFFLE, supports the work of TRUST LINKS CHARITY. Each artist has donated an original piece of art, that you could win, just by buying a raffle ticket or two.

It’s with delight that we have organised free artists’ demos/workshops. Annabel, Gill, Natasha and Nicola will be holding drop in sessions. Go and have a look at the times HERE

I know I’m really looking forward to welcoming you to MY HOME. HADLEIGH PARK AVENUE, BENFLEET, SS7 1SA

This has taken up a lot of my time, but not all of it.

I have been lucky enough to have been invited to exhibit at the new gallery WONKY WHEEL in Castle Hedingham

Paintings packed and ready to go to The Gallery

So looking forward to seeing the new gallery space and being able to exhibit alongside amazing artists.

On an entirely different, but related matter, I was delighted to be asked to carry out an ARTIST’S DEMO for Rayleigh Art Group.

I was asked to carry out a mixed media floral painting.

The finished painting

I had such a fabulous evening. They were such a welcoming bunch, and the painting turned out ok.

One of those funny things happened as a result of doing this gig, I was emailed and asked to apply for an exhibition down in Chichester latter in the year. Fingers crossed I’m accepted and all three get in. So it just goes to show, take the opportunities that arise and you never know what will come of them.

Now on to more of those up coming events. I will also be holding a small exhibition at the lovely TWO TREE GALLERY, from 24th May -20th June.

Now I’ve got to work out what I’m going to be taking for the exhibition. Lots of small new work I think, but not sure what as of yet. Do hope that some of you can make the opening event. Details to follow.

And of course we have got the first Art Market of the year coming up to; Old Leigh Artist Market on Bank Holiday Monday 5/5/25.

This means, I must get my act together as I will have work in numerous places etc. Really enjoy being down on the STRAND WHARF. And I know how much my husband will be delighted to spend his birthday there with me. Might just treat him to some fish and chips and a pint. Hope to see you there.

There are many more exciting things in the pipeline. One of which is planning for CASTLEPOINT ARTIST OPEN STUDIOS. October is looking busy.

BUT BEST OF ALL, we are getting a trip away to Pisa and Florence for a weekend. REALLY CAN NOT WAIT.
